Call for Applications: Martin Buber Society of Fellows Postdoctoral Fellowships 2027/28, Hebrew University of Jerusalem
The Martin Buber Society of Fellows at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem invites applications for postdoctoral fellowships for the academic year 2027-2028. Up to ten fellowships will be awarded to outstanding young scholars, with up to five each from Israel and Germany. Funding begins on October 1, 2027 and runs for a maximum of four years, with a monthly stipend of approximately 9000 NIS. Fellows who relocate to Jerusalem receive an additional housing subsidy. Candidates who completed their PhD at an Israeli or German university, as well as citizens of Israel or Germany who received their PhD in any country, are eligible. The degree must have been obtained no earlier than October 1, 2022, and no later than July 1, 2027. Applications are open to all fields of the humanities and social sciences, and no connection to Jewish studies or Israel is required. The core of the application is a five-page proposal for a new research project.
