Call for Applications: ISAW Visiting Research Scholar Program 2027-28
The Institute for the Study of the Ancient World at New York University invites applications for its visiting research scholar programme in the academic year 2027 to 2028. The institute works on the connections between ancient civilisations from the Mediterranean across Central Asia to the Pacific and welcomes approaches from archaeology and art history as much as from textual scholarship. Appointments are made in three categories, as two-year visiting assistant professors, as one-year research scholars and as externally funded visiting scholars. The first two categories are paid between around 82,000 and 102,000 dollars a year. Scholars are expected to be in residence, to give a public lecture and to mentor graduate students. A workspace and access to the libraries of New York are provided.
Deadline for applications: November 20, 2026 | DETAILS
