Job advertisement: Visiting Limited-Term Assistant Professor of Jewish History
The Department of History and the Department of Religion at the University of Georgia are seeking a visiting limited-term assistant professor of Jewish history. The post runs for one year from August 1, 2027 and can be renewed for up to two further years. It is a joint appointment in both departments, with a teaching load of four undergraduate courses a year. The holder is expected to develop new courses that broaden the Jewish Studies curriculum and to help with student and public events. Applicants should have a documented teaching record and be able to teach across several fields, among them American Jewish history and Holocaust Studies. Applications include a teaching portfolio with descriptions of three to four possible courses.
