Call for Applications: Gerald Westheimer Graduate Fellowship
The Leo Baeck Institute in New York awards one or more Gerald Westheimer Graduate Fellowships a year, each worth up to 3,000 dollars. The fellowship supports research projects connected with the history and the culture of German-speaking Jewry. It is open to students enrolled in a doctoral programme at an accredited institution of higher education, and the amount is set according to the needs of the project. The fellowship must be used within the year in which it is granted. An application should consist of a curriculum vitae, a full description of the research project and a financial plan, together with proof of enrolment and two letters of recommendation. Decisions are announced in January, and fellows submit a short report at the end.
