Workshop: Women and Yiddish, University of Delaware

The Department of History/Frank and Yetta Chaiken Center for Jewish Studies, University of Delaware, DE, USA invites proposals for a one day workshop on Women and Yiddish – New Approaches to Gender, Sexuality, Language, and Culture, April 23, 2026 at the University of Delaware. The workshop aims to gather scholars working at the intersection of gender studies and Yiddish language and culture.

Submissions which desplays the methodological and disciplinary diversity, including (but not limited to) history, literature, cultural studies, material culture and museum studies, Yiddish/Jewish studies, philosophy, anthropology, sociology, linguistics, and Holocaust and genocide studies are welcome.
