International Conference on Jewish Law, Hebrew University Jerusalem

The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in cooperation with the Yale Law School, Brodie Center for Jewish and Israeli Law,  and Hebrew University, Matz Institute for Research in Jewish Law, and Department of Jewish Thought in association with a Consortium of International Academic Partners invite submissions for an International Conference on Jewish Law, from June 16 to 18, 2026 in Jerusalem.

This international gathering will bring together scholars from a wide range of disciplines for three days of interdisciplinary exchange on Jewish law (halakhah). It will serve as the first in a planned series of annual international conferences on Jewish law, alternating between Israel and the United States, and establishing a central platform for global scholarship in the field. These conferences aim to strengthen scholarly bonds worldwide.

Presentations that explore Jewish law through the lenses of jurisprudence, Jewish studies, empirical research, religious studies, philosophy, history, political theory, and other relevant fields are welcome.
