Conference: Jews and the Worlds of the Ancient Mediterranean, Palermo
The organizers invite submissions for a conference on Jews and the Worlds of the Ancient Mediterranean: Archaeology, Scholarship, and
Networks of Collecting (c.1840–1940) taking place in Palermo, July 7-8, 2026. The conference aims to connect material finds and developments in scholarship with overarching political, commercial and ideological pressures to explore the dialogue between modern Jews and the plural heritages of antiquity. Papers on geographical case studies and specific historical moments are welcome.
