Małgorzata Stolarska-Fronia will discuss the origins of the book: Polish Jewish Culture Beyond the Capital: Centering the Periphery and its historiographic intervention into the field of Polish Jewish Studies at a book presentation at the University of Potsdam. Nancy Sinkoff, Professor of Jewish Studies and History at Rutgers University, is one of the editors of the multidisciplinary essay collection. The book explores the diversity and vitality of urban Jewish identity and culture in Polish lands from the second half of the nineteenth century to the outbreak of the Second World War. The event takes place at the University of Potsdam, Campus Am Neuen Palais, Haus 8, Room 0.56.
