CfP: Particularism and Universalism in Jewish Ethics, Journal of Jewish Ethics
The Journal of Jewish Ethics invites researchers to contribute for a special issue on particularism and universalism in Jewish ethics. Contributions may address the tension and possible reconciliation or even mutual dependence between particularistic and universalistic tendencies in Jewish traditions, as well as critical analyses of how the language of particularism and universalism is deployed in contemporary Jewish ethical discourse. The editors welcome contributions from scholars of Hebrew Bible, Second Temple literature, Rabbinic literature, medieval and modern Jewish thought, philosophy, law, history, sociology, anthropology, political theory, and religious studies. Published by the Penn State University Press, the Journal presents outstanding scholarship in Jewish ethics, broadly conceived. All submissions undergo double anonymous peer review.
