The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum invites applications for fellowships-in-residence for the 2027-2028 academic yea. The awards support significant research and writing on the Holocaust and related topics for projects that benefit from a period of residence at the Museum in Washington and access to its collections. Proposals are welcome from all relevant disciplines, including anthropology, archaeology, art history, comparative genocide studies, film studies, geography, history, Jewish studies, law, religious studies, philosophy, political science, and psychology. The programme is open to scholars at all career levels, starting with PhD candidates who have completed all requirements but the dissertation, and early career researchers are especially encouraged to apply. Faculty between appointments and scholars without institutional affiliation are also considered.
