Master's Programme: Middle Eastern Studies, Heidelberg University
The Heidelberg University and the Hochschule für Jüdische Studien Heidelberg jointly offer the transdisciplinary Master's programme in Middle Eastern Studies. The programme combines historical, cultural, and social science approaches to the history, society, culture, religion, and politics of the Middle East and brings together the fields of Islamic studies, Jewish studies, Israel studies, and historical and social science Middle Eastern studies. A particular focus lies on language training and on connecting linguistic, historical, and social science expertise. Students can expect an interdisciplinary education with individual specialisation, access to current research projects, as well as international perspectives and mobility opportunities.
