Conference: Researching and Communicating the Provenance of Jewish Objects, Berend Lehmann Museum
The Berend Lehmann Museum für jüdische Geschichte und Kultur hosts a conference in Halberstadt on the provenance research of Jewish objects. Held within a project on researching objects of presumed Jewish origin and their in-depth examination following the initial check, the conference brings together provenance researchers from museums, libraries, and universities across the German-speaking world. Lectures and workshops address the search for traces of Jewish material culture, research on donations from private households, restitution, and the communication of findings to different audiences. The conference takes place at Hochschule Harz on Domplatz 16 in Halberstadt and concludes with a guided tour of the Museum.
