The newly established Institute for Multidisciplinary Religious Studies (ImRe) at the University of Münster invites applications for a Doctoral Research Associate (65%) starting February 1, 2027. The fixed-term position runs for 3.5 years and is part of the project “Religious Polemics in Everyday Life and Their Social Functions”, funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology, and Space. The doctoral work focuses on Jewish reactions to anti-Jewish polemics and on Jewish anti-Christian polemics in the 15th and 16th centuries. Candidates need proven knowledge of Hebrew and an above-average degree in Jewish Studies. Knowledge of Yiddish or Ladno is an advantage.
