The Joseph-Carlebach-Arbeitskreis at Hamburg University is offering the Miriam Gillis-Carlebach Fellowship for 2027. It funds a research stay of up to three months in Hamburg, freely scheduled within the year, for projects in Jewish Studies that fit the fields of work of the Arbeitskreis and draw on the specialised library and the archives of the city and the region. Applications are open to doctoral candidates and to postdocs up to seven years after the dissertation. The fellowship pays 1.700 euros per month for doctoral candidates and 1.900 euros for postdocs, plus one-time travel costs of up to 600 euros. Presence in Hamburg and participation in the events of the Arbeitskreis are required.
