Carl Erdmann Prize and Hedwig Hintze Prize, VHD

The Verband der Historiker und Historikerinnen Deutschlands e.V. invites nominations for the Carl Erdmann Prize and the Hedwig Hintze Prize for outstanding doctoral theses and postdoctoral theses. For the Carl Erdmann Prize, the habilitation thesis must have been submitted to the examining faculty after November 1, 2021; for the Hedwig Hintze Prize, the public defence must have taken place between November 1, 2023 and September 30, 2026. Applications from academics who have already been appointed for a chair are not permitted. Repeated applications are not permitted.
