The University of Applied Sciences and Arts Cologne seeks to fill the positions of a professorship in the field of memory culture as part of the research initiative “Culture of Memory in Crisis,” funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). The focus will be on effects of the climate crisis on cultural memory, with particular attention to the preservation of cultural assets and heritage; the shaping of urban memories in post-migrant society in the face of crisis-ridden social structures; and the influences of the digital transformation—particularly through “artificial intelligence”—on cultural memory processes.
