Conference Maritime Connections: Jews Across the Indian Ocean, India

Jindal Global University, Delhi NCR, India invites applications for an international conference on Jewish Networks and Knowledge Exchanges Along the Indian Ocean, February 16 -18, 2026, Dehli, India. The conference will focus on Trade, Religion, Culture, and the Development of Social and Intellectual Movements from antiquity to modernity. This conference aims to provide a comprehensive platform for scholars to examine the relationships between these communities and their pivotal roles in the cultural and economic dynamics of this crucial maritime region.
The conference is organized by Jindal Centre for Israel Studies and Jindal India Institute at O.P. Jindal Global University in cooperation with The Shazar Center for Jewish History, Bar-Ilan University, and E’ele Be’Tamar Association.
